ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sales Training Manager drives the strategy, design, and execution of learning programs across the GACO sales organization. This role focuses on elevating field capability, driving technology adoption, and building structured onboarding and coaching programs that directly impact revenue growth.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Capability Development & Curriculum Design: Own the Sales Capability Matrix. Develop robust, scalable tools and training resources to increase proficiency across all existing product categories, while leading expansion training for DWP and Enverge. Design interactive e-learning and instructor-led modules.
- AI &Technology Implementation: Own the training and rollout of AI-driven sales tools and CRM enhancements. Ensure the sales team successfully adopts new technology to improve prospecting efficiency, pipeline management, and customer engagement.
- Onboarding Excellence: Completely overhaul and manage the new hire onboarding program, defining what a successful 30-60-90 day ramp-up looks like for incoming sales talent. Facilitate boot camps and continuous learning paths.
- Field Support & Coaching: Conduct strategic ride-alongs with the field team to reinforce training concepts, provide real-time, actionable coaching, and gather feedback on gaps in the current training curriculum.
- Metrics & Performance Tracking: Establish KPIs for training effectiveness. Track the correlation between training completion rates and sales performance, reporting ROI to senior leadership.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales training, sales enablement, or instructional design, preferably within industrial, building materials, or commercial sales environments.
Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 25-30% for field ride-alongs and live facilitation.
- Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern CRM platforms, LMS tools, and AI-driven sales technologies/analytics.
- Instructional Design: Proven ability to build blended learning solutions (e-learning, virtual, and in-person boot camps).
- Field Experience: Background in B2B sales or direct field coaching; comfort conducting ride-alongs and delivering real-time feedback.
- Analytical Mindset: Demonstrated ability to connect training metrics to sales performance and business ROI.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
