ABOUT THE ROLE
The position of Administrative Assistant provides professional administrative office support for internal and external customers, vendors and staff of the Greater Winnipeg Area (GWA) head office.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Perform general administrative duties as assigned.
- Prepare requisitions in SAP to obtain purchase orders.
- Verify that all purchase orders are compliant with health and safety policies before release.
- Collect bills of lading and receive items on purchase orders upon completion of work; ensure timely processing of vendor invoices. Maintain relevant files in Google Drive accordingly.
- Respond promptly to all vendor inquiries related to payments.
- Enter maintenance team hours into the payroll system.
- Export payroll logs as needed.
- Record inventory items into the system upon arrival and collaborate with the production analyst to ensure accurate reconciliation.\
- Process sales orders and oversee the shipment of standard products.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Training/Certifications: College education in Business Administration an asset
Required Work Experience: 5+ years of administrative experience
Additional Requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience managing business expenses through an ERP system, SAP preferred
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Experience in MS Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a face paced environment
- Detail oriented
- Strong computer knowledge
- Ability to get along and work well in a team centered environment

- Approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
