ABOUT THE ROLE
The Plant Administrator role is a dynamic, multi-functional position that supports payroll, HR, finance, and plant operations to ensure the smooth and efficient running of daily business activities. The successful candidate will manage hourly payroll processing, employee lifecycle administration, procurement activities, and operational tracking. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate records, supporting financial and production reporting, and promoting a strong culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence across the organization.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Payroll Administration: Assist the Payroll Administrator with processing hourly staff payroll, including accurate entry of regular and overtime hours, shift differentials, and paid breaks. Ensure proper cost center allocation and work order coding to support accurate labor tracking and reporting.
- Employee Lifecycle Support: Manage new hire onboarding, employee leaves, and time-off requests, including criminal/health checks and benefits coordination.
- Employee Record Management: Maintain, update, and track employee files and records; enter employees into Convergence training platform and generate necessary reports.
- Office & Facility Management: Coordinate office supplies, building maintenance, and general administrative logistics to support daily operations.
- Production Data Entry Back-up: Provide support to the Production Data Coordinator by accurately entering customer-provided data into the BFS graphical user interface.
- Financial & Procurement Support: Create purchase orders, process receiving records in Ariba, prepare check requisitions, manage CAPEX project requisitions, and support plant expense tracking.
- Vendor & Compliance Management: Maintain vendor records in SAP, ensure compliance with Amrize and Avetta standards, manage invoice workflows, and resolve discrepancies for timely vendor payments.
- Production & Operational Support – Track production, inventory, reprocessing, material movements, manufacturing KPIs, and maintenance programs; partner with Plant Managers to ensure operational efficiency. Coordinate third-party repairs, send tools out for repair, and order new tools as needed.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields is preferred.
Field of Study Preferred: Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Required Work Experience: 2+ years in an office administrator or similar role (preferred)
Required Training/Certifications: N/A
Required Technical Skills: Google Suite
Travel Requirements: 0-10%

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
