ABOUT THE ROLE
The Financial Analyst provides accurate financial reports, financial analysis, and decision support in a consistent and timely manner. This position works to improve understanding of key business drivers and maximize results within the assigned product line and markets.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Financial Analysis & Decision Support: Perform standard and ad hoc analyses to support business decisions.
- Month-End Procedures: Review month-end results to ensure accuracy and completeness. Perform detailed month-end financial analysis, including balance sheet account reconciliations, account adjustments, and variance analysis.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Produce monthly product line reporting packages, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), to explain business results. Prepare summary reports for budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.
- Capital Assets & Tax Support: Prepare capital asset documentation and leases as required. Record joint venture results in a timely manner. Assist in the preparation of fuel tax credit submissions and handle other ad hoc tax requests.
- Operations & Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with North America Business Services (NABS) staff regarding fixed assets, account setups, GL attributes, allocation modules, etc. Participate in operational reviews across industrial, distribution, and sales & marketing functions.
- Deliver timely financial support to the Finance and Operational teams.
- Acquire deep, broad, and strong operational knowledge of the business.
- Effectively link KPIs and trend analysis to monthly management reporting, flagging business issues proactively.
- Drive continuous improvement in operating and reporting efficiencies.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
- Field of Study Preferred: Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Required Work Experience: 3+ Years of analyst experience required. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Required Training/Certifications: Professional accounting designation or close to completion (CMA, CGA, CPA, or CA).
- Required Technical Skills: Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, charting, etc.). Business Intelligence (BI) tools experience.
- Travel Requirements: 5%.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent organizational and business analysis capabilities.
- Working understanding of USGAAP Accounting Principles is beneficial.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
