ABOUT THE ROLE
Ensures the safe and timely delivery of material to the customer and returns to assigned area in timely manner for additional loads.   This is not an over the road truck driving job and are required to climb in and out of the truck throughout the day. Shift is 7am-7pm with some flexibility on start times.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Practice and promote safety in such a way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). 
  • Drivers are responsible for reporting to work with required PPE at time directed by dispatcher, properly filling out time/load sheets, log book, vehicle condition reports, performing required pre-trip inspections, etc.
  • Deliver material as specified, maintaining good public relations with customer(s).
  • Maintains appearance of truck, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels, oil. Hydraulic, coolant and fuel.  Performs minor repairs to truck as needed.
  • Performs pre and post trip inspections to ensure safe operation of truck.
  • Ensures that safety, compliance, and environmental requirements are followed at all times.
  • Completes all paperwork that may be necessary; assist with plant work as required by plant management
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Education:  High School Diploma or equivaelent

Required Work Experience: 1 year of commercial driving experience or equibalent combination of education and experience

Required Training/Certifications:  Chauffer's license or CDL
