ABOUT THE ROLE
The objective of this job is to carry out seasonal roadway maintenance work including supervision of workers. This work could include sign installation, guardrail installation, roadway maintenance, and other miscellaneous maintenance tasks.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Ensure that equipment is operated and maintained to company and safety standards
- Oversee hiring and training of Production Crew Operators
- Ensure safe work practices are created for all work activities and are adhered to
- Complete and verify permits and other required documentation
- Report and safety incidents and/or near misses and participate in any investigations
- Perform installation and maintenance tasks for roadway appurtenance
- Get training on first aid, equipment training, and any other training courses related to the role
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High School Diploma
Required Work Experience: At least 5 years of highway maintenance experience
Required Training/Certifications: Class 3 license with Air Brake endorsement
Required Technical Skills: MS Office
Additional Requirements:
- Available to work and stay out of town for short durations (LOA will be provided)
- Available to work overtime and weekends as required
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
