ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize, a leading manufacturer and supplier of quality products for the construction industry, has immediate opportunities at our Edmonton Cement Terminal for Terminal Assistants.
This position is a 9-month contract.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- The packaging and palletizing of cement products.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the terminal and equipment.
- Adheres to all company safety rules and performs all duties in a safe, approved manner.
- Incumbents must be able to work overtime and willing to work shift work when required.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
Required Training/Certifications: A valid driver’s license
Contract Length: 9 months
Additional Requirements:
- Fork Lift Certification
- Flexible worker and self-starter
- Capacity to work as part of a team and independently
- Reliable and dependable
- Work experience associated with customer service and general labor.
- Mechanical aptitude, maintenance and repair.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to stand long periods, sitting, bending, twisting and climbing.
- Ability to work at heights, in enclosed or confined spaces, work around moving equipment and machinery and physically able to lift up to 100 lb.
- Must be courteous, professional, safe, and have a positive attitude while working with customers, fellow employees and the general public. Must be a “Team Player."
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
