The role maintains a strong field presence, supports safe and reliable plant operation, coordinates employees and contractors, reinforces plant standards, and assists with troubleshooting, documentation, employee development, and daily execution of the production plan.

  • Identify and resolve operational issues while effectively coordinating maintenance and support resources.
  • Drive process improvements, troubleshooting, plant trials, and reliability initiatives to improve plant performance.
  • Maintain effective communication through accurate shift reporting, handovers, and timely escalation of operational issues.
  • Develop broad operational knowledge across raw grinding, kiln operations, finish grinding, shipping, and supporting plant systems.
  • Build leadership capabilities through employee coaching, performance management, investigations, and working within a unionized environment.
  • Take ownership of assigned areas through effective decision-making, follow-up, and consistent execution.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
