ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Yard Labourer to join our operations team at the Exshaw Cement Plant. This role is critical to maintaining safe, efficient, and clean plant operations across multiple production areas.

As a Yard Labourer, you will support daily plant activities including housekeeping, material handling, and basic maintenance tasks. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role in a heavy industrial environment, ideal for individuals who take pride in working safely, contributing to team success, and keeping operations running smoothly.

This position is a 5-month contract. 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH 

• Execute daily housekeeping and cleanup activities across plant areas
• Assist operations and maintenance teams with routine tasks and minor repairs
• Safely handle, move, and organize materials
• Remove debris and maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment
• Perform Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRAs) prior to tasks
• Identify and report unsafe conditions and equipment issues
• Support plant shutdowns, inspections, and special projects
• Follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities
• Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and contractors
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required Work Experience: 1–2 years of industrial experience preferred

Additional Requirements:

• Strong commitment to safety
• Physically fit; able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
• Ability to work in a dusty, noisy environment
• Self-motivated and team-oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to learn
• Rotating shifts, overtime, and weekend work may be required. Work is performed in a heavy industrial cement plant environment.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
