ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize, a leading supplier of high-quality construction materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Production Supervisor to support operations within our Ready Mix product line. This role is responsible for overseeing daily plant operations, ensuring concrete batches are produced efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with quality standards, while coordinating personnel, managing equipment maintenance, and supporting on-time delivery to meet project demands.


WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Oversee daily ready-mix plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production.
  • Manage and optimize batching processes to ensure accurate mix designs and consistent product quality.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop plant personnel to maintain high performance and accountability.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety policies, environmental regulations, and company standards.
  • Coordinate routine and preventive maintenance of plant equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with dispatch and logistics teams to support timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Conduct quality control checks and address any deviations in mix performance or specifications.
  • Maintain production records, reports, and documentation in accordance with company requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Troubleshoot operational and batching issues in real time to maintain continuous production.
  • Support inventory management of raw materials to ensure consistent supply for batching operations.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE 'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education:Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Required Work Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in ready-mix, concrete production, or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Travel Requirements: 25- 50%
  • Demonstrated knowledge of batching systems, mix designs, and quality control processes.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a plant or industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a production environment.
  • Experience with plant equipment maintenance and coordination of repairs.
  • Ability to manage production schedules and meet delivery deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using production, dispatch, or batching software systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot operational and batching issues.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and raw material handling.
  • Ability to analyze production data and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost control.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment


Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
