We’re seeking a GACO Area Manager Field Sales who’s ready to be part of a company committed to formulating everyday success for every customer through innovative, reliable products used to adhere, seal, and protect at every level of the building envelope.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Area Manager serves as the primary technical and commercial representative for Gaco roof coatings and waterproofing products. In this role, you will build and maintain key relationships across the commercial roofing ecosystem - including architects, engineers, building owners, distributors, and contractors. You will drive market share growth within your territory by executing a strategic business plan, demonstrating deep product expertise, and consistently achieving revenue and profit targets.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH:

  • Sales Execution & Business Development: Manage the end-to-end sales process, proactively generate and convert leads, document customer interactions, and consistently meet or exceed annual sales and gross profit targets.
  • Territory Strategy & Budgeting: Develop and execute strategic sales, marketing, and business plans for the territory while effectively managing the assigned sales budget.
  • Client Relationship & Consultative Service: Build long-term relationships across all key decision-makers, respond to customer needs, deliver creative sales presentations, and provide exceptional ongoing customer support.
  • Product Expertise & Market Knowledge: Act as a subject matter expert on Gaco product lines while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of competitor features and market trends.
  • On-Site Training & Field Support: Conduct professional on-site product training events for contractors and installers to ensure proper product application and compliance.
  • Brand Representation & Travel: Represent the company professionally at local and regional trade shows, industry events, and client sites with a willingness to travel frequently throughout the territory.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Degree in Business or related field or a minimum of 5 years of roofing/waterproofing material or commercial coatings sales.
  • Strong track record in building business and increasing sales.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills with a strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to professionally present information and connect with a variety of customers and industry professionals.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both verbal and written communication.
  • Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be highly motivated and have a demonstrable successful sales record.
  • Must be able to travel 75% of time.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. 
  • Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
