ABOUT THE ROLE

Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Loader Operator to support operations at our Bladensburg, Md location. The primary responsibility of a Loader Operator is to safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment to load, move, and stockpile rock and aggregate materials at our location.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Operate front-end loaders safely and efficiently to load, transport, and stockpile aggregate materials.
  • Load trucks, feeders, hoppers, and conveyors with sand, gravel, stone, and other materials.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and identify mechanical or safety issues before operation.
  • Maintain proper stockpile locations, material separation, and safe working areas.
  • Operate equipment according to production schedules and supervisor instructions.
  • Monitor material quality and prevent contamination between different aggregate products.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, including greasing, cleaning, and fluid checks.
  • Communicate effectively with truck drivers, plant operators, and site supervisors.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, traffic rules, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while meeting production, safety, and equipment-efficiency goals.
  • Perform general labor, housekeeping, cleanup, and other site duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. 
     

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Required Work Experience: 3+ years of hands-on front-end loader experience, preferably operating large-capacity loaders in a quarry, aggregate, mining, or heavy construction environment
  • Previous experience operating front-end loaders, preferably in the aggregate, quarry, or construction industry.
  • Ability to perform daily equipment inspections and identify mechanical issues.
  • Experience loading trucks and handling aggregate materials efficiently.
  • Good understanding of stockpile management and material separation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with truck drivers, plant operators, and supervisors.
  • Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around heavy equipment.
  • Willingness to follow company procedures, maintain equipment, and work effectively as part of a team.

 

Additional Requirements:

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
