ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is responsible for operating and overseeing the metal production line while providing day-to-day direction, training, and support to production operators. The position ensures product run information is accurate and production standards are met, while driving operational efficiencies related to quality, safety, and line speed. The role requires the ability to analyze production data, generate reports from systems such as Shopfloor and SAP, and clearly communicate accurate performance results to upper management to support continuous improvement and informed decision-making.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Check the status of equipment in the production operating system.
  • Responsible for preparing each run according to orders and the daily production schedule.
  • Validating product information and set up.
  • Monitors each run for quality, efficiency, and line speed.
  • Adjusts equipment settings based on quality control feedback.
  • Capturing production run information (metal used, downtime, and scrap reporting), inputting data into the production data base.
  • Maintains hour by hour board.
  • Maintains 5S standards of the metal line, department, inventory area.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: High school diploma, or 1-2 year vocational training/associates degree.
  • Ability to lead teammates regarding work ethic, and with a leadership mindset.
  • Strong math skills
  • Strong data entry experience – Ability to present results to management via PowerPoint, Excel both verbally and through electronic communication.
  • Must be forklift certified
  • Safety and continuous improvement driven
  • Basic maintenance skills
  • Advanced computer skills
  • PAY: $33.77/hr

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
