ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Contracting Project Manager to oversee and manage asphalt paving projects from pre-construction through completion. This role is responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Manage all phases of asphalt paving projects, including planning, execution, and closeout
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans
- Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies
- Review contracts, specifications, and project drawings
- Monitor project costs and approve invoices and change orders
- Communicate regularly with clients, inspectors, and internal stakeholders
- Conduct site visits to track progress and resolve issues
- Prepare project reports and documentation
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and
environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these
behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or 3+ years of experience in asphalt paving or heavy civil construction project management.
Additional Education: Preferred: Bachelor's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management
Required Work Experience:
- Strong knowledge of contracting, placement, and paving operations
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Valid driver’s license
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
