ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Aggregates Haul Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining haul trucks and related equipment to transport aggregate within the quarry. You will work closely with our team of professionals to ensure safe operation of equipment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating a haul truck, a valid Class 1 or Class 3 license and prior experience operating adjacent heavy machinery in the construction/mining industry.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Transport aggregate from the loading area to the crusher using aggregate haul trucks.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols and guidelines
  • Report when equipment requires perceived maintenance and repairs to ensure they are kept in safe working condition
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the team to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation
  • Follow all site-specific traffic procedures and regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of pre-use inspections
  • Adhere to Amrize policies and procedures at all times
  • Keeps foremen informed and takes responsibility for actions and decisions
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Required Work experience: 3+ years of relevant experience

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor as needed
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
