ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize is looking for a Production Excavator Operator to, maintain and operate excavators. They will perform production and general, as-needed operations on site. This is a fast paced production environment, so operational aptitude is important. You will need to be a safety minded individual who can think on their feet and adapt to changing situations. This position will report directly to the General Foreman.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Ensure the safety of company personnel, the community, and environment
- Responsible for completing daily equipment checklist
- Monitor material production within specifications
- Ensure consistent feed to maintain a quality product
- Create an atmosphere of teamwork
- Seek out and implement Best Practices
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Training/Certifications: Experience with heavy machinery/equipment.
Required Work experience: 5+ years of experience operating an excavator
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Respectfully communicate loading procedures with truck drivers
- Ensure safety goals are achieved
- Excellent communication skills and works well in a team environment
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
