ABOUT THE ROLE
The Welder will support with fixing and repairing equipment such as; cone crushers, conveyors, loaders, excavators, washing equipment, and cyclones. In this role, you will be able to fabricate and weld with limited direction. This is a fast paced production environment, so mechanical aptitude is important. You will need to be a safety minded individual who can think on their feet and adapt to changing situations.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

Perform welding repair and maintenance to production related equipment, machinery, and structures during rotating day & night shifts
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Responsible for ensuring all work is completed in a safe manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Training/Certifications: Valid welding certification
Required Work experience: 3+ years of experience welding in an industrial environment is an asset.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to fabricate and design
- Use of air arc equipment
- Gas cutting
- Stick welding
- Manganese cutting and welding
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends when necessary
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
