Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Maintain continual observation of operations of all the various processes through recordings and indications of the control system, monitors and visual observation when necessary.
•    Ensure kiln and mill operation is in compliance with MSHA and company safety standards and in environmental compliance.
•    Monitor laboratory test results during shift and take corrective action as necessary to meet quality and quantity standards.
•    Manipulate controls to maintain optimum production rates and to prevent equipment damage.
•    Detect indications of equipment malfunction and report malfunctions to supervisors.
•    Maintain records and prepare reports in accordance with established procedures.
•    Work to keep costs related to work in line with the plant budget and be alert for ways to reduce costs of operations, maintenance and repairs.
•    Maintain work area in clean and organized condition.
•    Work overtime and rotating shift schedules assigned.
•    Other duties as assigned.
