ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is responsible for maintaining warehouse safety, managing inventory in SAP, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment. It involves receiving shipments, monitoring stock levels, operating warehouse equipment, and collaborating with various teams to support smooth operations.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Commitment to Safety: Follow and promote workplace safety policies, assess risks before tasks, and use proper PPE at all times.

  • Receiving & Inspection: Receive, unpack, and verify shipments against purchase orders, reporting any discrepancies or damages.

  • Inventory Control: Assign and manage inventory locations in SAP while maintaining a clean and well-organized warehouse.

  • Material Management Transactions: Perform SAP MM transactions such as Goods Receipts, Goods Issues, and Inventory Reports to maintain accurate stock levels.

  • Stock Monitoring & Replenishment: Identify low stock levels and place orders with VMI suppliers to ensure uninterrupted operations.

  • Order Fulfillment & Shipping: Pick, pack, and stage parts for outages, ensuring timely delivery to maintenance and production teams.

  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment while following all safety protocols and regulations.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Work effectively with maintenance, production, and finance teams to resolve inventory issues and support operational needs.

  • Process Improvement: Suggest and implement enhancements to warehouse organization, inventory tracking, and material handling processes.

  • Other Duties: Perform additional warehouse-related tasks as assigned, supporting plant operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education: 

  • High school diploma/GED

Required Work Experience: 

  • 2-3 years working in a warehouse environment

  • Proficiency in SAP for inventory management, transactions, and reporting.

  • Ability to navigate and update inventory systems to track stock levels and locations.

  • Basic data entry skills for recording material transactions and shipments.

  • Familiarity with spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel) for tracking inventory and generating reports.

  • Knowledge of warehouse management software for order fulfillment and shipment tracking.

  

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
