ABOUT THE ROLE

Deliver value-added credit, collections, cash application, and billing management that strategically align with company objectives. The Accounts Receivable Manager ensures AR operations are adaptable to changing business needs, offers customer-friendly solutions, and provides meaningful reporting metrics. This role is focused on minimizing credit risk, maximizing sales potential, and driving cash flow through efficient Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes. The AR Manager works closely with the Head of Accounting and Reporting, Sales leadership, customer service, and external customers to deliver operational excellence.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Working Capital Management: Identify and execute working capital improvements directly impacting Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and cash collection targets.
  • Master Data & Pricing Accruals: Maintain the integrity of customer master data and ensure timely, accurate processing of pricing and backend marketing program accruals and settlements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to resolve invoicing disputes, improve customer satisfaction, and streamline the customer onboarding/credit check process.
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Continuously evaluate AR workflows for efficiency gains, leveraging automation, AI tools, and ERP enhancements to streamline billing and cash application functions.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and supervise the AR/Credit & Collections team, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to track productivity and service quality.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Prepare and present regular aging reports, cash forecasting, credit limit evaluations, and bad debt reserve analyses to finance leadership.
  • DEI & Team Culture: Champion a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture through team activities and goal setting.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections, or Order-to-Cash operations, including 2 to 4 years of supervisory/people management experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of credit risk evaluation, financial statement analysis, cash application procedures, and general accounting principles.
  • Process Improvement: Proven track record of optimizing AR processes, reducing DSO, and implementing automated cash application or billing tools.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with customers and collaborate cross-functionally with Sales leadership.
  • Core Competencies: Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, analytical mindset, and proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
