Description:

Join Amrize as a Quality Control Supervisor RMX and help construct what's next. If you're ready to put your skills to work on projects that matter — and build a career with a company that’s building North America — we want to hear from you!

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Quality Control Supervisor in a Ready-Mix Concrete (RMX) operation serves as the primary technical lead responsible for ensuring product excellence through the rigorous oversight of raw material validation, the development and adjustment of precise mix designs, and the management of comprehensive laboratory and field testing protocols. By monitoring real-time batching accuracy and maintaining strict adherence to industry regulations and project-specific requirements, they bridge the gap between production efficiency and structural integrity, ultimately guaranteeing that every cubic meter of concrete delivered meets the highest standards of strength, consistency, and durability.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • The Quality Control (QC) Supervisor in the ready-mix concrete industry acts as the bridge between technical engineering and operational execution. The primary goal is to ensure the product is consistent, compliant, and cost-effective.
  • Achieve 100% compliance with Amrize safety policies and legislative requirements, ensuring every team member returns home safely. Reduce workplace hazards by spearheading Job Hazard Analyses and executing robust hazard reduction plans. Maintain a high-transparency environment by overseeing real-time incident reporting in iCare and ensuring the team is 100% certified and trained.
  • Maximize profitability and performance by managing a high-quality portfolio of Standard and Value-Added Products (VAP) that consistently meet or exceed codes. Minimize material variance and waste by utilizing advanced statistical tools (COV, Standard Deviation) to bridge the gap between design and production. Act as the lead consultant for project specifications, providing customers with expert documentation and LEED submittals that secure project wins.
  • Ensure all RMX plants maintain "audit-ready" status, consistently meeting company and industry certifications through rigorous internal oversight (RMCAO). Guarantee the integrity of the Quadrel and SAP databases, ensuring that sampling and reporting and material costs are accurate. Reduce recurring quality issues by developing a Quality Incident Record (QIR) case-study library to institutionalize technical knowledge.
  • Partner with sales teams to identify new opportunities, promoting high-margin VAP solutions to the specifying community. Rapidly resolve field issues through expert root-cause investigations, turning potential claims into opportunities for customer trust and retention. Directly impact the bottom line by managing lab budgets efficiently and drastically reducing the Cost of Quality (CoQ) through proactive management.
  • Build a High-Performing Technical Team: Cultivate a pipeline of top-tier technical talent by hiring, mentoring, and coaching a team of Quality Technicians. Streamline daily field operations, ensuring that sampling, testing, and material monitoring are executed with maximum efficiency.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
