ABOUT THE ROLE
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for the order fulfillment process, from receipt of customer purchase orders to releasing orders for shipment, and for fielding inquiries and support requests from customers, sales, and other internal groups. This role also ensures the accuracy of customer requests and on-time delivery.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Efficiently utilizes the ERP system to create customer orders, confirm and apply pricing, answer inquiries, and follow up on order status.
- Review inventory and future production plans to determine product availability while driving to meet customer-requested availability dates.
- When inventory is available, release orders for shipment by communicating with the customer, shipping team, or transportation carriers.
- Advises customers of order status at multiple phases of order fulfillment as needed, especially when special handling is required.
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of company-manufactured and ancillary roofing products and the roofing industry to provide customers with comprehensive, accurate information and advice.
- Listens to the customer's needs and concerns, demonstrates empathy, and uses critical thinking skills to solve situations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Business or Supply Chain
Required Work Experience: Five years’ experience in a customer service/fulfillment role.
Travel Requirements: N/A
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
