ABOUT THE ROLE

The Regional Business Manager (RBM) for GenFlex Roofing Systems is responsible for driving sales growth, managing regional sales representatives, and executing business strategies to achieve regional objectives. The RBM serves as a key liaison between the field sales team and corporate leadership, ensuring alignment with company goals while fostering relationships with customers, distributors, and contractors.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

Sales Strategy & Execution:
●    Develop and implement regional sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
●    Collaborate with independent sales representatives to identify opportunities, address challenges, and ensure alignment with company goals.
●    Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
●    Provide regular sales forecasts and reporting to corporate leadership.


Independent Rep Oversight:
●    Serve as the primary point of contact for independent sales representatives within an assigned area, providing guidance and support to drive sales performance.
●    Build strong relationships with independent reps, fostering mutual trust and collaboration.
●    Conduct regular reviews of rep performance, ensuring they meet company standards and expectations.
●    Provide training, resources, and tools to enable reps to effectively promote GenFlex products and solutions.


Customer & Distributor Engagement:
●    Partner with independent reps to build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and contractors.
●    Support reps in addressing customer concerns and ensuring satisfaction with GenFlex products and services.
●    Attend joint sales calls and presentations with reps to demonstrate support and expertise.


Marketing & Product Support:
●    Collaborate with independent reps to execute promotional campaigns and product launches.
●    Ensure consistent messaging and adherence to corporate branding in the field.
●    Collect feedback from independent reps and customers to share insights with the marketing and product development teams.

Operational Excellence:
●    Monitor compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards within the independent rep network.
●    Lead monthly progress meetings to review sales results, identify growth opportunities, and align on future strategies.

 

WHAT WE'RE ARE LOOKING FOR

  •   Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is required. Advanced degree (MBA) is a plus.
  •   5-7 years of sales management experience, preferably within the building materials or roofing industry.
  •   Proven track record of managing independent sales representatives and driving successful sales outcomes.
  •   Experience in developing and implementing strategic business plans.
  •   Knowledge of roofing systems, construction practices, or related fields is highly preferred.
  •   Strong leadership and relationship management skills to effectively oversee an independent rep sales force.
  •   Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  •   Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and develop actionable solutions.
  •   Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales forecasting tools.
  •   Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.


Working conditions and physical requirements

  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region, including driving long distances or flying.
  • Capacity to move around customer facilities, job sites, and trade shows, which may include walking, standing, or climbing stairs/ladders.
  • Capability to work extended hours when required, including evenings or weekends, to attend events, meetings, or job site visits.
  • Ability to handle samples, brochures, or demonstration materials, which may require carrying items weighing up to 20-30 lbs.
  • Ability to read and analyze documents, reports, and presentations, as well as observe details on roofing systems during site visits.
  • Capacity to communicate effectively, including hearing and speaking during meetings, presentations, or on construction sites.
  • Comfort with being on construction sites or in outdoor environments, which may include exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, or uneven terrain.
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, or move for prolonged periods during meetings, presentations, or travel.
    These physical requirements reflect the dynamic nature of the role, balancing office work, field visits, and engagement with sales reps and customers in various settings.
