Starting hourly wage: $44.35
Schedule: Monday - Friday 2pm - 11:30pm
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Maintenance Technician position supports the plant by checking, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.
The Maintenance Technician “A” is in charge of performing tasks to ensure the safety, reliability and efficiency of all manufacturing and facility assets.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine whether failures or issues are present and determine how soon the corrections/adjustments may need to be made.
- Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace with new items while maintaining safety and production goals in mind.
- Troubleshoot equipment to identify root cause(s) and suggest appropriate follow-up actions.
- Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts.
- Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner.
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work instructions, identify parts that belong to machines, and fully document work performed.
- Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations.
- Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock check-out processes.
- Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in a organized manner so that materials can be accessed quickly and reliably.
- Follow all required procedures as required by role.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma
- Five or more years’ experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance employee performing Preventive (planned) and Corrective (unplanned) Maintenance
- Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas:
Mechanical - Power Transmission – chains, belts, gearboxes, bearings, brakes, couplings, etc.
- Lubrication – oils, greases, storage and handling, application, etc.
- Hydraulics & Pneumatics – valves, actuators, compressors and pumps, piping and tubing, etc.
Electrical
- DC Circuits – relays, contactors, power supplies, etc.
- AC Circuits (120V to 480V) – motors, drives, transformers, etc.
- Process Control
- Industrial Automation – robotics, PID, machine control, etc.
- PLCs & Networking – communication, signals, I/O, LANs, etc.
Additional Requirements:
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
