ABOUT THE ROLE
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing inventory performance across all plants to ensure product availability, financial accuracy, and disciplined execution. This role owns enterprise inventory reporting, cycle count audit analysis, and standardized report-outs, and provides weekly and monthly analytical support for the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process. The Inventory Analyst partners with Production, Sales, Warehousing, Purchasing, and Finance to drive inventory accuracy, KPI performance, and continuous improvement through data-driven insights.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
SIOP Reporting & Updates
- Prepare and deliver weekly SIOP inventory updates highlighting inventory health, risks, constraints, and short-term actions
- Prepare monthly SIOP inventory analysis supporting executive-level decision making on inventory positioning, build plans, and capacity alignment
- Provide inventory inputs to SIOP meetings, including variance analysis versus plan and trend analysis across plants
- Translate SIOP decisions into clear inventory actions and follow-ups for plant and warehouse teams
Enterprise Inventory KPI Ownership (All Plants)
- Own, track, and report enterprise-wide inventory KPIs, including:
- Inventory dollar value
- Inventory turns
- Days on hand (DOH)
- Cycle count gain/loss totals
- Cycle count ABC count compliance
- Analyze KPI performance trends, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure consistent KPI definitions, calculations, and reporting standards across all plants
- Prepare structured KPI report-outs for leadership and cross-functional reviews
Cycle Counts, Audits & Controls
- Own cycle count analysis, reconciliation, and audit reporting across all plants and storage locations
- Monitor and report cycle count accuracy, compliance, and variance trends by ABC classification
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective action plans
- Maintain and audit standard cycle count and inventory control forms to ensure compliance with internal standards
- Support physical inventory counts and audit readiness requirements
Inventory Planning & Analysis
- Support safety stock, reorder point, and coverage analysis aligned to lead times and demand variability
- Identify slow-moving, excess, and obsolete (SMO) inventory and drive reduction plans
- Partner with Production Control and Scheduling to align inventory with the master production schedule
- Analyze space utilization and material flow impacts related to inventory strategy
Continuous Improvement & Data Integrity
- Drive improvements in inventory reporting, audit discipline, and SIOP inputs
- Improve inventory data accuracy, master data governance, and system integrity
- Enhance reporting tools, templates, and automation across Excel, ERP, and BI platforms
- Support standard work development and adherence across plants
- Deliver consistent, accurate weekly and monthly SIOP inventory updates
- Improve enterprise inventory KPI performance and visibility across all plants
- Strengthen cycle count compliance, accuracy, and audit results
- Reduce inventory risk, excess, and shortages through proactive analysis
- Establish standardized inventory reporting and audit discipline across the network
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 0-3 years of experience in inventory analysis, SIOP support, or supply chain operations
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas; macros a plus)
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate data, KPIs, and findings clearly to leadership and plant teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Manufacturing or multi-plant environment experience
- Hands-on experience supporting SIOP or IBP processes
- Experience with cycle count programs, ABC methodologies, and inventory audits
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement exposure
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
- Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
