Were seeking a Process Quality Technician I who's ready to be part of an innovative, people-first brand shaping the future of the roofing industry.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Plastatech Engineering, a sister company of Duro-Last Roofing, has a full-time opening for a Process Quality Technician in their Quality Department. The position is located at the Duro-Last Roofing Corporate Headquarters in Saginaw, Michigan. Starting Hourly Wage: $20.00 Hourly Schedule: 7am -  7pm Mon - Thurs

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Will perform lot acceptance testing and release of material for the manufacturing of roof panels.
  • Will perform daily test welds to assure the weld ability of the Duro-Last membrane.
  • The incumbent is expected to be an expert in lot acceptance criteria as outlined in the Quality Manual.
  • The Process Quality Technician will perform daily process audits to ensure each process is producing quality products that meet or exceed our manufacturing specifications.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

 

Additional Requirements: 

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • Individual must have at least 2 years in a manufacturing, testing, and/or lab environment.
  • Technical training or degree in engineering, math or science is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and a team player.
  • Problem solving and analytical ability are needed to interpret data from process outputs to include Excel data analysis.
  • The incumbent will need to draw conclusions and recommendations based on quality, analytical or lab scale data.
  • Effective interpersonal skills will be needed to communicate and report progress to JRB managers.
