ABOUT THE ROLE
The prime objective of the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor is to oversee the completion of scheduled maintenance jobs of the mobile equipment using the highest level of quality, safety and effectiveness at minimum cost to maximize equipment availability and optimize reliability.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Follows and ensures full compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Review of weekly schedule and address concerns with Maintenance Manager.
- Assign and review work to perform with the mobile equipment mechanics, maintaining schedule priority and compliance.
- Review job cleanliness requirements and review with Production weekly after schedule posting.
- Complete maintenance related jobs according to the highest standards of safety, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Streamline job execution and associated repair costs while ensuring equipment is in good operating condition and safe upon completion.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns to ensure prompt repairs.
- Provide reporting to the Maintenance Manager and feedback to mechanics on repair jobs, material consumption, and work hours.
- Review equipment history files and ensure properly recorded histories in the maintenance management module.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: DEP in industrial mechanics or mobile equipment mechanics, DEC in mechanical engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technologist, or equivalent field experience.
- Experience: 5 years of required work experience.
- Technical Skills: Extensive experience in heavy equipment repair and inspection; proficiency in MS Office, Google suite and SAP.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong bilingual communicator (both oral & written).
- In depth knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Proven ability to work well in a team environment.
- Well organized, systematic, and highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience with Computerized Mechanical Maintenance System (CMMS) and SAP maintenance module.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
