ABOUT THE ROLE

The Western Canada Commercial Development Manager plays a key leadership role in driving commercial performance and strategic growth across the region. This position is responsible for undertaking comprehensive reviews of market strategies across individual and multiple business lines, ensuring alignment with regional and corporate objectives. Finally, and consistent with Amrize’s growth strategy, this position will assist in the integration of new acquisitions across the region.

The role ensures the timely development of strategic reviews, market intelligence, and regulatory commercial information to support informed decision-making. This will often require short notice prioritization of deliverables and interpreting disparate information into concise insights. A strong focus is placed on championing Salesforce development, driving adoption, data quality, and best practices across the region to strengthen commercial visibility and performance tracking.

This leader will also coordinate and lead cross-market bids for complex or strategic projects, bringing together teams from multiple business lines to deliver compelling, competitive proposals. In addition, the role provides direct support to the regional executive team through preparation of internal presentations, advancement of key commercial initiatives, and active participation in stakeholder engagement efforts. Overall, the position blends strategic insight, commercial leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to accelerate growth and enhance market position across Western Canada.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Refine go-to-market strategies and improve commercial team excellence.
  • Conduct structured reviews of market strategies across business lines in Western Canada to identify growth opportunities and competitive risks.
  • Align regional commercial priorities with corporate strategic objectives.
  • Lead the preparation of strategic commercial reviews and develop high-quality market intelligence and industry trend reporting.
  • Champion Salesforce adoption, improving pipeline visibility and data quality across the region.
  • Lead and coordinate complex cross-market bids, developing win strategies and value propositions.
  • Support the regional executive team in preparing strategy materials and internal presentations.
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning sessions and assist with the integration of new acquisitions.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in business development or the material industry.
  • Exposure to First Nations, Major Project Delivery, and Salesforce.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly motivated, independent thinker with the ability to influence across functions.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
