ABOUT THE ROLE
The quality coordinator’s objective is to ensure that all cements are available in the appropriate quantities and when shipped are tested and meet the applicable standards, agency requirements, and plant quality targets. The position is responsible for the collection, interpretation and presentation of quality data for raw, intermediate, and finished materials.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Ensures compliance of all finished products with MQO's, NSF, ASTM, AASHTO, and Customer Contract Specifications.
- Ensures the compliance of the products at all phases of the process.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining ISO based Quality Management System
- Ensures the compiling, reporting and accuracy of quality assurance/quality control data.
- Ensures the reliability and proper calibration of all laboratory equipment.
- Defines the MQO's.
- Ensures the compliance of quality procedures, including follow up of corrective actions on non-conforming test results.
- Leads the investigation of any quality incident.
- Responsible for the direct supervision of the Quality Technicians.
- Identifies and provides for appropriate training related to safety, environmental, and personal development.
- Communicates policy and procedure updates to direct reports in a timely manner.
- Complete working knowledge of all laboratory equipment.
- Performs statistical analysis of instrument control samples, quality control and quality assurance data.
- Maintains the LIMS system and ensures the accuracy and completeness of data.
- Responsible for assessing, submitting and managing laboratory CAPEX improvements.
- Manages laboratory budget.
- Works with other departments to solve quality related problems.
- Inputs and reports operating statistics to the Sales and Marketing Team and the Plant Leadership Team
- Serves as the plant Radiation Safety Officer
- Interface with procurement and logistics to ensure proper supply of raw materials.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
- Interfaces with other plant departments to align priorities and support. Works as liaison with corporate quality and raw materials groups, and interacts with sales, manufacturing, and logistics groups.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or equivalent or 4 years of equivalent experience
Additional Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Chemistry, Engineering
Required Work Experience: 3-5 Years
Required Training/Certifications:
Required Technical Skills: Strong computer software skills (spreadsheet and/or database) required, SAP experience a plus.
Travel Requirements: 5%

- Knowledge of cement manufacturing process, materials receipt, and procurement preferred
- Knowledge of budgeting process
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
