ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary objective of the Production Supervisor is to supervise the day to day activities of the production hourly work force to achieve production and distribution goals for consistent high quality clinker and cement. This is to be done safely, at the lowest possible cost, while maintaining equipment integrity.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Support the plant management in implementing and monitoring of safety and environmental systems, conduct visitor and contractor orientation/training as needed, update safety policies as needed, lead a safety area, field leadership of Risk Assessment and VFL, support Safety Audits. Promote safe practices and positive attitude at all times
- Responsible to operate the facility in a manner that meets or exceeds all environmental commitments.
- Promote operations that meet environmental commitments.
- Prompt awareness and mitigation of environmental issues in the operation
- Responsible for the completion of numerous environmental inspections and corresponding documentation.
- Responsible for the production of clinker and cement that meets customer quality standards.
- Responsible for the daily sampling, testing and analysis of the different process shops.

Accountable for the raw materials handling, raw grinding, clinker burning, fuels preparation and dispersal and finish grinding and blending systems within the plant.

Responsible for managing and accounting for all daily, inventories of raw materials, finished goods, and fuels.

Responsible for running the plant equipment from the control room and directing field personnel

Interface with other department to ensure equipment is operating optimally

Responsible for monitoring daily quality control data and makes corrective action as needed to meet the expectations of management and our customers.

Monitors specific production and quality standards and assists in troubleshooting problems as they arise.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required Education: Bachelor's degree or seven years of experience may be substituted for a degree
Field of Study Preferred: Concrete Industry Management
Required Work Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic PC skills using Microsoft Office Application. Prior SAP experience is helpful, but not required.
Travel Requirements: May be required to travel locally for training or to provide support to other plants.
Additional Requirements:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with good negotiation, planning, scheduling, and people management ability.
- Ability to identify production problems, and the experience to solve those problems.
- Good knowledge of Related Raw Materials Plant Production, and the ability to motivate department personnel to meet production goals, while maintaining the integrity of the safety program.
- Material handling knowledge is essential
- Strong time management skills, and ability to prioritize tasks
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
