ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a concrete batch plant. This includes managing concrete mixer drivers and overseeing plant maintenance. Your goal is to ensure the timely delivery of a quality product, ultimately driving customer satisfaction.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Health, Safety & Environment: Demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies by consistently communicating, adhering to, and promoting safe work practices across all work environments. 
  Identify and correct safety issues promptly, providing coaching to employees to reinforce safe work behaviours. 
• Foster a culture of safety by leading by example and ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. 
• Batching & Customer Service: Operate in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment by scheduling concrete deliveries, providing pricing to customers, ordering raw materials as required, and ensuring accurate batching to meet quality standards and customer specifications. 
• Operations Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Monitor operational performance, develop and implement action plans, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Responsible for the batching of concrete mixers, scheduling, and order entry. 
• Manage the scheduling of driver personnel. 
• Handle the opening, closing, and daily checks of a ready mix plant. 
• Lead a healthy workplace culture based on respect and performance. 
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Required Work Experience: 1-2 years in a dispatching role 
• Required Training/Certifications: Ready Mix concrete experience is an asset 
• Required Technical Skills: Excellent reading and writing skills 
• Travel Requirements: Minimal

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work Overtime as needed 
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
