ABOUT THE ROLE
The Concrete Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of concrete to
various job sites in and around the Windsor area. This role is crucial to ensuring customer
satisfaction and maintaining efficient operations. Key deliverables include on-time delivery, safe
operation of the delivery truck, and excellent customer service. This is a Union position with
benefits and a pension.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Safely and efficiently operate a concrete delivery truck to transport concrete to job sites.
- Ensure timely delivery of concrete to customers, adhering to delivery schedules.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor on job sites.
- Accurately complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery truck.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the truck and perform minor maintenance as needed.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
- Accurately document delivery information and obtain necessary signatures.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial vehicles.
- Valid Class AZ or DZ driver's license in Ontario; Clean driving record; Ability to operate a manual transmission.
- Knowledge of local roads and areas in and around Windsor.
- Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and carrying.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Punctuality and dependability.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
