ABOUT THE ROLE
The Production Forklift Operator/Receiver plays an integral role in maintaining a high level of service for Plant Management and staff, supporting overall production efficiency. This position works closely with all areas of the plant to ensure consumables, equipment, and products are delivered safely, accurately, and on time.
Success in this role requires strong planning, time management, and attention to detail. The operator must be a safety-focused and skilled forklift operator who communicates effectively, manages incoming materials efficiently, and collaborates with multiple departments in a fast-paced production environment.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials, ensure no damage to products and equipment while completing required daily inspections and documentation.
- Receive, unload, and store consumables, raw materials, equipment, and incoming shipments quickly, safely, and in designated areas.
- Supply production areas by delivering consumables, equipment, and products to the correct bays, and workstations.Yard, transfer, and stock finished products from the plant to designated storage locations or stockpiles.
- Support multiple departments by moving, staging, reworking, loading, and storing products.
- Plan and organize materials in advance of production, including forms, base pallets, PVC liners, and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, communicate low stock immediately, and assist with charging bins (once trained and approved).
- Assist Quality Assurance with product inspections, setting up testing equipment, and ensuring proper quality stamps are applied before shipping.
- Communicate and coordinate with Plant Management and other teams to prioritize work, manage incoming materials, and maintain efficient workflow.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Grade 12
Additional Education Preferred: Post-secondary coursework or certificates in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or occupational health & safety are considered an asset.
Required Work Experience: Minimum 1 year of forklift operating experience in a production or industrial environment
Required Training/Certifications: Forklift Operator Certification for all forklift classes; candidates must be willing to obtain any certifications not currently held. Propane Filling Certification (Asset, must be willing to obtain). WHMIS and Lockout Training. Crane Operator training and certification (Asset, must be willing to obtain)

Additional Requirements:
- Experience handling materials safely in fast-paced environments and working with inventory or production systems.
- Valid forklift certification and demonstrated experience operating forklifts safely in a production or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of safe material handling practices, including use of lift attachments (chains, clamps, pins, etc.)
- Ability to complete daily equipment inspections and accurately maintain required logs and documentation
- Experience with receiving processes, including verifying shipments against packing slips and purchase orders
- Basic inventory management skills, including tracking stock levels and identifying shortages
- Ability to operate or learn additional equipment (e.g., loaders) as required and approved
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
